The Winter Show

The Winter Show, the leading art and antiques show of its kind in the United States, and a benefit for East Side House Settlement, has been held at the Park Avenue Armory in all but three years since its creation in the mid 1950s. Due to the COVID pandemic, the show’s 2021 edition was presented entirely online. The show was, nevertheless, a great success, with 60 international dealers showcasing a dynamic mix of works dating from ancient times through the present day.

This year, taking as its theme Le Voyage, Maison Gerard created an eclectic presentation centered upon furniture and decorations commissioned for the luxury vessels for which France was known in the first half of the 20th century -- Art Deco jewels from the likes of Jean Dupas, Jules Leleu, and Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann.
