Aage Birck

One of a set of striking vases by contemporary Danish ceramist Aage Birck, whose work's elegant forms and visually textured glazes are unique to the medium. These particular vases, with their incised combed lines, serve as an interesting complement to another suite created during the same period–pieces remarkable for the porcelain and wooded combs used as ornamentation.
