Ani Afshar

While her work shows a deep-felt connection and appreciation for the rich textile heritage of both Turkey and the Near East, Ani Afshar is, nevertheless, fearless in her experimentation, and revels in the unexpected. She is forever shifting effortlessly from subject to subject; producing work at every scale; and exploring materials as far afield as tulle, beadwork, embroidery, and heirloom cloth.
