This exceptional coffee table, cast in silica, sand, and powdered glass, possesses both a horizontal and vertical composition consistent with the particular landscape it evokes. The table, with its symmetrical top and bowed base, has the shape and weight of a vessel. On the piece’s top lies a framed landscape depicting a lake-like abstraction; on its bottom, a shadowed recasting of a similar landscape, a suggestion of depth and reflection alike.
