With this elegant Art Deco desk clock the eminent French designer Jean E. Puiforcat created a charming juxtaposition of aesthetic weight with levity, its dignified rectilinear marble border cut off with rakish asymmetry, its nickel-plated bronze face incised with playful numbers ridiculously enlarged or shrunken.
