Fine and Rare Clover-shaped Tea Table

France, circa 1924

LELEU 462

Description

Burled walnut, glass top and bone rings.

Height: 25" Overall Diameter: 29.75"
Diameter of Top: 21"

This charming tea table, designed by one of the period's greatest furniture designers, is the very consummation of French Art Deco elegance. The table's top—glass set in a circular top, dotted with bone rings—rests atop two broad levels of beautifully burled walnut, intended to display a tea set. All are held together by four legs which retreat, bowing gently as they draw closer to the ground.
