Each arm of this extraordinary chandelier is attached to the canopy with a string of crystals and festooned along its length with many more. The work's canopy, in turn, is itself a mirrored, albeit attenuated, image of these arms, an arrangement of thin parabolas with a single crystal attached and dangling from the end of each.
Maison Delisle is a lighting fixture manufacturer founded in 1895 by Henry Delisle.
