Marino di Teana
Medium: Duralumin, glass
Dimensions: 57 in high x 69 in wide x 29.75 in deep
This striking and unusual fountain uses both glass and running water to emphasize the negative space created by its composition of duralumin planes. As transparent substances, the two serve, at least visually, as a bridge between the piece's negative and positive components.
Our fountain is similar to those di Teana exhibited in the 1963 at the Grand Palais for Monumenta. To see more images of this exhibition, please click anywhere on the text of this sentence.
