Audrey Werner: 30 Years of Adornment

Maison Gerard is excited to announce that Audrey Werner, one of the jewelry designers whose works shaped 2000s celebrity style, will be exhibiting at the gallery from November 16th to December 4th, 2020 in conjunction with NYC Jewelry Week. Werner's pieces have been featured in Britney Spears’ music videos, Jennifer Lopez magazine covers, and Shakira's tabloid-worthy looks.

Seamlessly mixing influences from around the world, Werner works with oft-overlooked materials, including her signature black iron, to create pieces that are truly unique. "I am amazed how something beautiful can be created out of something not at all precious,"  Werner says.

Originally known for her bold and striking jewelry, in recent years Wener has been inspired by her work in restoration to make more delicate, though by no means less exceptional, pieces. In allowing historical works to inform her practice, Werner admits "I grew up." 

Werner has run her own studio practice since 1992. Notable clients include Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, and Marilyn Manson. Her work has been featured on the covers of Rolling Stone and New York Magazine, and has been included in Elle, Harper's Bazaar, W, and WWD, among others.
